Scaffolding

SUMMARY   The “Competent Person Awareness” Scaffold Training Course is an instructor-led course utilizing the Scaffold Training Institute’s student manual, OSHA’s 1926.450-454 Scaffold/Aerial Lift regulations, actual jobsite scaffold slides and scaffold assembly. The course's purpose is to provide scaffold erectors and users with the regulations, safety guidelines and procedures required to recognize and eliminate hazards in the field. This course addresses tubular welded frame, mobile tower scaffolding and aerial lifts.

OSHA COMPLIANCE   Satisfactory achievement of the course objectives will assist students in satisfying the OSHA “Competent Person” training requirements for scaffold erectors and users as defined in 29 CFR 1926.454. Competent person designation and ability determination is the employer’s responsibility.

COURSE DETAILS   The course includes a 300 page scaffolding training manual, relevant manufacturer handouts, and hands-on review of related fall protection equipment. Upon completion each student receives a wallet identification card and a certificate of achievement. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
