INDUSTRY DAY EVENTS ABC Mississippi is pleased to introduce a new program for our members - Industry Days! Members are invited to lead sessions on topics pertinent to the construction industry.
CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM MCEF and ABC Mississippi are pleased to offer the Construction Superintendent Certification Program March-July 2021 at ABC Mississippi in Pearl. NCCER developed this certification jointly with FMI® to provide industry-wide recognition for construction superintendents. This program was developed in conjunction with subject matter experts for professionals whose primary role is to oversee the operations of a construction site from planning to completion. This certification is taught over a 41⁄2 month period. Key testing objectives include Leadership, Management, Safety, Human Relations, Construction Documents, Construction Planning and Resource Control. CONSTRUCTION QUALITY MANAGEMENT (CQM) This course for contractors familiarizes students with CQM concepts and procedures used in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Army Corp of Engineers Construction contracts. This course is perfect for owners, architects, professional engineers, construction mangers, facility managers, superintendents and QC managers. Continuing education credits are awarded for professionals, design build contractors and designers (NAVFAC specifications to provide design QC plan and a design QC manager with current certificate). Students who complete course requirements will receive a certificate valid for 5 years. USACE and NAVFAC specifications require this certificate for QC managers on all construction projects. BLUEPRINT READING This course is an excellent opportunity to learn more about blueprint reading. Highlights on the topics included in this course are as follows.
MANAGEMENT TRAINING ABC Mississippi offers management training to our members. Training is provided in the areas of construction leadership as well as topics of various issues that confront our industry.
