ABC Mississippi is excited to announce our new Safety Technician Training Program. Click here to download a flyer. This training is designed to help our contractors promote a valued Safety Professional from within. Upon training completion, each student will have three National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certificates, an OSHA  30-hour card, Ariel Lift and Forklift Train-the-Trainer certifications, and a certificate of completion from ABC Mississippi. In addition, each student will be required to obtain on-the-job hours that will include shadowing an approved Safety Professional and conducting various safety meetings and training sessions for their company.

The Safety Technician Program will be conducted virtually with 43 sessions, consisting of 2 hours of training each Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM except for September 28, 2023, due to our Safety Awards Luncheon. The first class will begin on January 19, 2023, and complete on November 9, 2023, with a graduation ceremony being announced later in the year.

The investment is $2,500 per student which includes all sessions and training materials. Registration is open now until January 12, 2023.

NCCER is a nationally recognized training format that requires classroom training and skills evaluations. ABC Mississippi is in the process of registering this program with the Department of Labor (DOL) as an apprentice program
