SUMMARY  This instructor-led course teaches students the five critical skills necessary to respond to life threatening emergency situations including patient stabilization during the critical period until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Many times, this can make the difference in life or death. Students also learn basic skills for managing physical injuries and illnesses. Also included are Automated External Defibrillator (AED) instructional techniques and Bloodborne Pathogens orientation.

MEDIC CPR FIRST AID  This Medic CPR/First Aid Course meets the approved medical guidelines set forth by the American Medical Association (AMA) and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. The U.S. Coast Guard, the Mine Safety, Health Administration, and  World Health Organization have approved this course for meeting OSHA guidelines.

OSHA/ANSI COMPLIANCE  Does your company have to have someone trained in CPR/First Aid? To be compliant with OSHA guidelines, ANSI requires that at least one CPR/First Aid trained individual be present if your organization or jobsite is greater than a 3 to 4 minute response time to emergency medical services. If so, this class is for you.

COURSE DETAILS  Course documentation includes a wallet certification card and achievement certificate as well as a class roster. The courses at ABC Mississippi office locations are designed for organizations that do not have enough students for a private class.  Private classes are available, call or email for details. Lunch is not provided but the class does break to enjoy lunch.
